My friend....lost the radio in flight...This one moves right to the top if the list... Twin cylinder...35% Carden Cap...rekitted...Full bore straight into the ground.. The picture is large..it's composed of before and afters..worth the wait for it to load.
My beloved Super Skybolt, I was too cheap to replace the receiver pack. I don't think I could hit another plane soooo squarely with another if I tried. Balsa rained for minutes! A real fast low pass, as I hit a rise in the field, needed 6" only had 4". There's nothing solid in the wing anymore. Motor dies on take off, plane cart wheels down runway. Wife asks "Do they ever go on Fire?" Problems don't get better when you fly it! I loved to tumble this plane. At least when it got caught in a very low inverted flat spin, there was a crowd to enjoy it. Whats left of JT's nice Laser.."Oh why oh why didn't Dad secure at least one of receiver batteries?" This is what a 3.5lbs plane looks like after "landing" in the trees. Yes I was doing something stupid....hanging it on it's prop, close to the trees...closer to the trees after a gust or two of wind and finally too close to the trees after the final gust of wind. I guess if I wanted a helicopter, I should just buy one. Oh well, I hope Tommy and Chucky's mom and dad wont be mad...at least they were strapped in!
